JNF has started a brand new initiative called the Green Shul program.
Shuls wanting to be part of the program can work on different areas such Shul infrastructure, Education and Activism.

They get a certificate of recognition for their efforts. A number of Shuls have already signed up and more are coming online all the time.

Examples of just some our activities include a lecture on Green energy for the home, a presentation on the city of Johannesburg’s recycling initiatives and a Green audit of a Shul.
